THE DEFENCE RELATIONS BETWEEN INDIA AND RUSSIA

THE DEFENCE RELATIONS BETWEEN INDIA AND RUSSIA

India and Russia discussed a host of bilateral issues, including cooperation in defence during a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin that ended on the margins of the 2018 BRICS Summit. The Russian leader is expected to visit India later in 2018 for the annual bilateral summit.

Russia has identified about 19 companies in India to manufacture defence products and provide spares and components of Russian platforms currently being used by India’s defence forces, Defence Production secretary Ajay Kumar said.

India and Russia are in advanced talks to seal a $ 1.1-billion deal for new medium lift helicopters to be used by both the defence and home ministry, with a likelihood of it being inked at an upcoming bilateral summit that will see Russian President Vladimir Putin travelling to the capital in October. The deal for 48 additional Mi-17 V5 choppers - which currently are the backbone of the air force’s heliborne transport fleet – has been in discussions since 2015, with both the ministries raising a demand for helicopters to be used for a range of missions.

Dr. Kumar said India was in the process of finalising the security agreement with the United States that would enable classified information to be shared between the industries of India and the U.S. “so that greater amount of industry-to-industry linkage can take place”. Financial sanctions by the US have hit India’s arms trade with Russia hard, with payments for weapons and equipment worth over $2 billion getting stuck, including those for critical projects such as the repair of leased nuclear attack submarine INS Chakra. It has become evident that a rupee-rouble transfer-–pegged on the exchange rate of an international currency—is the solution. As of now, India signs defence contracts with Russia for which payments are made in US dollars.

IS OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE NEED OF CHANGE?

IS OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE NEED OF CHANGE ? Providing good and healthy education is the way to have a better future for the country by getting the youngsters ready for the future. Education has become somewhat daunting in some countries for some students because of which the students are either in depression or does not like to study and fail to finish the basic education.  First of all, i discuss the reasons as to why the education system and most importantly the education becomes a challenge for the students. I have completed my school eduction from a private school in India. I was myself a failure until the 6th standard and was scared of the education and even going to the school. As per my experience and all that i remember, i was classified as the poor student with some learning difficulties. However, it was not the problem with me but it was probably because of the strict education system which just revolved around academics without discussing the ideas and...

WHAT IS INVESTMENT AND THE RULES OF INVESTMENT

what is Investment and the rules of Investment Almost everyone who earns, believes in saving and tries their best to make sure that they save their earnings and invest them wisely for the future purposes. People get confused with the terms 'Investing' and 'Saving'. Most of the people believe that when they deposit their savings in the bank, they are saving and investing for their future. However, in this era when inflation is on rise, saving in bank does not mean investing. Depositing money in the banks with a view to invest for the future is not safe in today's generation. For instance, when someone deposit their savings from the earning in the bank every month and they get 4% of interest on the savings on yearly basis. They probably think it is a good investment for them. Inflation is the rate at which the cost of living increases and causes money to lose its value. The rate of inflation in 2017 in India was 4.00%. So, basically saving in bank and increasing ...
